Introducing...Our Lynx Range of Hand Saws

European Hand Tools is proud to be the sole Canadian distributor of the Lynx range of hand saws. Lynx has been manufacturing saws since 1923 in Sheffield, England. We believe Lynx hand saws to be the best available. We recommend them for professional use or for the serious woodworking hobbyist.

All Lynx hand saws are handcrafted of Sheffield steel. Unlike most modern saws, the blades are ground tapered to a mirror-like finish and have hand-set teeth. This is a very expensive process that enables the saw to cut more smoothly and accurately. Fittings are of solid brass, as are the brass backs featured on some of the saws.

The 26" Panel Saw (cross-cut tooth pattern) and the 26" Rip Saw have traditionally been the staple saws used by professionals for generations. As an alternative, we also stock 20" Panel Saws. All have beautiful walnut handles, unless otherwise specified.

Back saws, known as tenon saws in England, have been traditionally used in many woodworking industries. This saw is normally just pushed back and forth, using mainly the weight of the brass to achieve the cut which is why the backs on the Lynx range are very heavy.

The Dovetail saw differs from the back saw as it has a much thinner blade and finer teeth for precision cutting of dovetail joints. It consequently costs more to manufacture. All Back Saws and Dovetail saws have beautiful walnut handles.

Lynx hand saws are of the finest quality. They can be used and enjoyed for many years to come.
